About Spelunk Jewelry

I’ve always been compelled to create beautiful things. Whether it’s sketching designs, sewing costumes or learning to forge and finish metals, making art is the foundation upon which I’ve built my life.

My lifelong passion for making led me to pursue studies at both Pratt Institute and Rhode Island School of Design, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing.

Spelunk Jewelry is a culmination of my life’s work, approaching traditional adornment through a distinctly sentimental lens. Many of my inspirations can be traced back to my upbringing in Upstate New York, where I was surrounded by forgotten objects that begged to be loved once more. Tarnished or shimmering, new or old, I believe that all things have a story to tell. I make everything by hand because it allows me to infuse my own stories and ideas into each piece in a way that defies commercial jewelry making conventions.

I’ve always sought to express myself through bold, unapologetic fashion and accessories, and I hope that my jewelry inspires self-expression in a new, more satisfying way. Most of all, I hope that my work compels people to slow down and look more closely, so that they can discover the stories of life, love, and adventure which handmade things often keep.
